A developer is planning to build affordable apartments in Mason Square in Mason Avenue, Otahuhu.
The bulk and scale of the buildings have been deliberately kept to three stories to keep them in context with the adjacent historic church.
Named the “Mason Square Project”, the developers plan to build just over 80 apartments in 2 stages.
Specifically, the developers have stated that they won’t get into cost overruns. A number of other developments have been caught out by underestimating construction costs and had to cancel it. This has disappointed purchasers who had signed up for the pre-sale.
